📖 History & Description

Guru Ka Bagh refers to historical bungas and agricultural lands around Amritsar that were associated with the Gurus and their followers. These sites historically offered lodging for pilgrims (bungas) and spaces for communal meals and religious assembly. Over centuries many bungas have been preserved, renovated or repurposed; they are important for understanding the social and economic organization of early Sikh devotional life around the Harimandir Sahib complex.
