📖 History & Description

Dera Baba Nanak (DBN) is situated on the banks of the Ravi and is the location of several shrines commemorating Guru Nanak's travels and family connections. The principal gurdwara, Sri Darbar Sahib Dera Baba Nanak, marks his visit after his first Udasi when he returned to see family. The town historically served as a pilgrimage hub and today hosts commemorative events, langar services and facilities for pilgrims who often combine DBN visits with attempts to see Kartarpur Sahib across the border (when pilgrimage travel is open).
