📖 History & Description

Tarn Taran Sahib was founded by Guru Arjan Dev in the early 1600s; the town and its large sarovar became an important pilgrimage centre. The gurdwara complex includes the main sanctum, parkarma and facilities for pilgrims. Throughout its history the complex has been renovated, and it remains a focal point for religious festivals, community langar and regional Sikh cultural life.
